Hancock was disqualified under totting-up rules yesterday after a court heard it was the fourth time he had been caught speeding in the past three years.
Fiscal depute Robbie Brown told Perth District Court that Hancock had been pulled over by police while he was travelling at 95mph on the motorway between Perth and Edinburgh.
"He was stopped after a radar speed check at 1.30pm. There were no adverse road or weather conditions and traffic was moderate at the time," Mr Brown said.
The presenter of the popular ITV quiz show Duel admitted speeding at 95mph on the M90 between Perth and Edinburgh on 17 August this year.
The 46-year-old was disqualified for the mandatory six-month period because he already had three speeding convictions and nine points on his licence.
Hancock did not reveal his income in court, but Justice of the Peace Barbara Briggs-Constable said she expected it would be "substantial".
She fined him £400 and gave him a month to pay the sum in full.
